The aim of the project is to promote the idea of green and digital technologies until 30.06.2026 among 199 students of secondary schools of their teachers and 20 employees of the Faculty of Materials Engineering. The applicant envisages the participation of 219 people in the project. This number is given in the "Project indicators" section. The duration of the project after the proposed change is 21 full months (from 1.10. 2024 to 30.06.2026). The theme will be: -promoting the idea of a circular economy through the possibility of using low-cost environmentally friendly technologies for the recovery of precious metals from waste electronic equipment; -knowing the methods of artificial intelligence and its application to the management of thermoplastic waste as an example of a future-proof recycling technology; -understand the principles of rational management of electricity and the possibility of obtaining it in an ecological way; -using the idea of Industry 4.0 as a synergistic combination of the real world of production machines with a virtual boarding house, to create a small robotic technological line segregating waste; -the possibility of using safe industrial waste in the reconstruction of architectural monuments; Futurists Without Limits-Designing technologies to build space bases from the settlement of humanity on other planets. The project will increase the attractiveness of universities and meet the expectations of young people who will be willing to study in an attractive technical field, enabling them to develop professionally, so that in the future they will be able to create support for a restructured, modern industry, based on green technologies and digital transformation. The project will also contribute to increasing competences and awareness of contemporary civilizational needs in the area of green economy among academic teachers. Information about the possibility of joining the project will be sent to schools from the Silesian municipalities covered by the support. Reports from lectures and popularizing-scientific workshops will be transmitted by local radio. It is also planned to prepare various materials for participants promoting the project. Information and promotional materials will be tailored to the needs of NSAs; the main communication tool will be electronic media and means to optimise the use of paper (posts, messages, links) – in line with the principle of sustainability.
