The aim of the project is to strengthen the potential in the application of new materials technologies through the transformation of education and research conducted in the field of materials engineering at the University of Silesia in accordance with the imperatives of the green economy, in the period from 01.08.2024 to 30.06.2024. The objective will be achieved by: -workshops for students that aim to provide students with practical knowledge and experience in the field of materials engineering, enriching their theoretical education and preparing them for future work in the industry. -carrying out work on new biomaterials, materials used in modern energy and material recycling. We will support interdisciplinary research, combining knowledge in the field of materials engineering, modeling and digital IT solutions. We also envisage expanding cooperation with enterprises and research institutions, supporting the transfer of knowledge and practice between the scientific sector and industry. -intensification of study visits in foreign centers and companies from the green economy sector. -workshops for secondary schools aimed at young people's interest in the subject of sustainable development, modern technologies and engineering. The implementation of the project will be supported by industry experts, which will enable students and staff to gain experience in line with the latest trends and requirements of the sustainable development sector. The project will contribute to the generation of new, green materials technologies through advanced scientific research. In this way, it will become a driver of innovation in the field of materials engineering, as part of regional and global efforts to achieve sustainable development.
