PURCHASE OF A MEDIUM SAFETY AND SERVICE CAR FOR THE EQUIPMENT OF TSO MIKUŁOWICE

In order to increase the potential and rescue capabilities of the TSO unit in Mikułowice aspiring to the structures of the CRSG, it is planned to purchase a new, medium-sized rescue and firefighting car with accompanying equipment, which will enable rapid and efficient neutralization of events that may cause a threat to life, property and the environment. The TSO unit Mikułowice was established in 1927. The TSO consists mainly of young people who, after the age of 18 and appropriate courses, join the combat section. TSO is the only organization and association in Mikułowice. Young people and adults can actively spend their free time here, learn the rules of first aid and develop their interests. The unit also includes PSP officers, professional soldiers and paramedics. Thanks to their knowledge and experience, the qualifications of bridesmaids are raised by constantly organizing exercises and internal trainings in broadly understood rescue and fire fighting tactics, as well as social prevention. The current training of the bridesmaids is: 28 firefighters - rescuers with basic training, 9 KPP rescuers, 7 motorists, 8 commanders, in addition, bridesmaids have additional training such as: interaction with LPR, saw, diver, lifeguard, etc. The staff of the unit also includes 5 drivers for privileged vehicles – trucks. The area of operation of the TSO in Mikułowice is the area of the Municipality of Busko-Zdroj. Mikułowice counts ok. 1,500 inhabitants, and through the village runs the national road No. 73. The village is directly adjacent to Szaniecki Landscape Park, protected areas and numerous forests. The TSO protection area is the Municipality of Busko-Zdrój, where there are numerous production plants, warehouses, agricultural enterprises, companies and educational institutions. Events occurring in the area of operation are diverse and require the use of specialized rescue and firefighting equipment. Currently, the TSO is equipped with a GLBA Renault Mascott 1/2.5 light car and a trailer for transporting equipment. In recent years, we have acquired, among others: 6,5 kVA generator set, WT30X, WT40X slurry motopomps, portable motopump, floating motopump, respiratory protective devices, saw, PSP-R1 kit, demolition equipment and personal protective equipment. Part of the equipment can not be in the permanent equipment of the car, which, due to its size, is not able to accommodate all the weapons. In addition, repeatedly, during firefighting operations, the water supply turned out to be insufficient, which translated into ineffective conduct of operations. In 2021, the unit intervened 43 times, which makes it the 5th most frequently intervening TSO units outside the CRSG, from the Świętokrzyskie region. In 2022, the TSO Mikułowice undertook 30 interventions, most of which were related to fires. As an entity, it makes every effort to meet the hardware requirements in order to join a CRSG. The location of the unit means that in the absence of detachments of the PSP Rescue and Firefighting Unit in Busko-Zdrój resulting from taking action at events in the district, the TSO Mikułowice is able to secure the area of the commune in the fastest time. Thanks to the membership in the TSO of a large group of PSP officers - 9 people, the quality of the activities carried out distinguishes from other TSO units, and even equals those undertaken by the State Fire Service. Unfortunately, without obtaining a new rescue and firefighting car, the TSO is not able to meet the basic requirements set out in the CRSG guidelines. The mobility of TSOs has been maintained at a high level for several years. The number of people ready to leave at the time of alarm often exceeds the number of places in the car. Many times, the arrival of people on the alarm ensured a double staffing of the fire truck. OSP Mikułowice has the most active Youth Fire Team in the commune.
