The main goal of the project is to increase the effectiveness of counteracting the effects of natural disasters and faster removal of the consequences of disasters in the Konecki district and the area of the commune of Fałków The rescue and firefighting car and equipment purchased under the project will contribute to: •Widen the scope of possible actions to increase the level of flood and/or fire safety. The unit does not have a portable water-foam cannon, smoke fan, heavy heat-resistant clothing and a thermal imaging camera in stock. • Improving the safety conditions of the inhabitants of the municipality of Fałków and the district of Konecki – the purchase of a specialised rescue and fire-fighting vehicle and life-saving equipment will undoubtedly improve the safety of the inhabitants of the municipality and the district. The new car will arrive at the scene in less time. It won't fail. Modern equipment will allow you to provide professional and effective assistance to the injured person. The new car will be more efficient and will arrive at the scene of the accident in less time. • More efficient and faster recovery from natural disasters (fires, floods) (road, environmental) – the purchased water and foam cannon will contribute to reducing or eliminating possible environmental risks. • Improve and modernise the equipment of the Falk TSO by purchasing a new light rescue and firefighting car and heavy equipment. Currently, the TSO has an average car from 2020 and an average 1988r (scan of the registration certificate attached to the application), which is heavily exploited. On the territory of the commune no unit has a light car • Caring for the state of the environment. The new car will be definitely more environmentally friendly (less combustion) but also cheaper to operate for the unit itself (less failure rate). Less fuel consumption means less emissions to the environment. The new car will reach the scene faster, e.g. a fire caused by burning grasses, which negatively affects the environment. Faster arrival at the scene of the incident will contribute to reducing the effects of the fire. • Improving the safety and working conditions of firefighters – the work of firefighters (both professional and volunteer) is linked to numerous risks, not only during rescue operations but also during exercises. The purchase of protective suits, a new car and equipment will improve the working conditions and safety of firefighters. The TSO unit in Fałków has existed for 100 years, currently has 40 (9k) members and 18 (8dz) members of the youth firefighting team. The entity is part of a CRSG. The TSO shall take an active part in rescue operations and in fire, accident and natural disaster recovery operations.
