The subject of the project is to equip the TSO in Strawczyna with equipment and equipment for conducting rescue operations, removing the effects of natural disturbances and major chemical and ecological accidents. The tasks of voluntary fire brigades result from the Act of 24 August 1991 on fire protection (Journal of Laws No. Journal of Laws 2016, item 191, as amended). TSOs carry out tasks for civil protection, fire protection and rescue, as well as carry out large-scale preventive activities aimed mainly at young people. The basic objectives and tasks of voluntary fire brigades resulting from, among others, their statutes are to conduct activities aimed at preventing fires, participating in rescue operations carried out during fires and other dangerous events and disasters, as well as informing the population and existing threats. The implementation of this project is directly related to the activities carried out by the TSO in Strawczyna within the scope indicated above. Due to the fact that some of the equipment currently at the disposal of the TSO is significantly depleted (multiannual use in shares), there is a need to modernize it. At the same time, due to budgetary constraints, the unit does not have full additional equipment, which limits taking action to a wider extent than at present. Therefore, there is an urgent need to retrofit the unit. As part of the modernization activities, it is planned to purchase a hydraulic pump, hydraulic hoses, combat uniforms, combat helmets and combat shoes, the technical condition of which is not good. This is due to the fact that these elements are the most exploited during the action, which, with many years of use (even over 15 years), causes a decrease in its efficiency, the occurrence of defects, and what is no less important, causes a decrease in the safety of the firefighters themselves. At the same time, due to the increasing range of activities undertaken and new types of threats, it is necessary to increase hardware resources with additional equipment such as radiotelephones, power generator, air apparatus with motionless sensors, column spreader bracket, AC detector, safety harnesses, smoke exhaust fan. The new elements will allow for the implementation of activities that are currently being carried out to a limited extent due to the lack of appropriate equipment. We are talking about, for example, extinguishing photovoltaic installations, conducting actions in places without access to electricity or streamlining actions using modern fire and rescue solutions.
