The project involves the construction of roads for bicycles (ddr) and roads for pedestrians and bicycles (ddpir) in the City of Kielce. Roads for bicycles, pedestrians and bicycles, as well as walkways, planned under the task, were divided into 2 sections. These sections were selected on the basis of the ‘Concept of cycling routes in Świętokrzyskie Voivodship’, in particular the rules described in Chapter 9 entitled: ‘Cycling route network concept in corridor terms’. ). These routes are indicative and allow the route to be changed up to 5 km to the left and right, but they should fit into the assumed directional layout to allow their continuation by neighboring municipalities. Sections meeting the above criterion are those that move in the west-north and east-west directions. Section 1 - Road for bicycles and pedestrians and bicycles along the streets: Żelazna, Gosiewskiego, Zagnańska Section 2 - Road for bicycles and sidewalk along al. Parameters of designed elements Parameters of bidirectional roads for pedestrians and bicycles: • total length 0,6 km (section 1), • minimum width 3,0 m, • type of pavement – asphalt. Parameters of Bi-directional Bicycle Roads: • Overall length 2 km (including: section 1 – 0.6 km, section 2 – 1.4 km), • width min. 2.5 m, • type of surface – asphalt. Parameters of pavements: • total length 1,6 km (including: section 1 – 0,2 km, section 2 – 1,4 km), • min. width 1,8 m, • type of surface – paving stones. Parameters of bike & ride car parks (episode 1): • quantity of 2 pcs., • number of bike racks min. 10 pcs. Parameters of MORs (section 1 – 2 units, section 2 – 1 units): • quantity of 3 pcs., • number of bike racks min. 4 pcs. • minimum equipment: welcome plaque, recreational shelter, benches, waste bins for separate waste collection, benches with backrest and armrest, bicycle repair station. The main objective of the project is the development of low-emission infrastructure in the City of Kielce. Specific objectives: 1.1 Increasing access to low-emission non-motorised forms of mobility, 1.2 Reducing the use of road transport, 1.3 Improving the quality of the environment, 1.4 Reducing CO2 emissions, 1.5 Improving road safety, 1.6 Increasing interest in active leisure activities, 1.7 Increasing the tourism and recreation potential of the City of Kielce.
