The changes in the community-demogr. taking place in the region of festivities show a very pronounced increase in the number of elderly people in the entire population of the region. Due to two co-existing phenomena: low fertility rate and increased life expectancy, the share of seniors in the population is increasing. Forecasts indicate that in 2060 the largest population of inhabitants aged 60 years and more will be the Kielce area (71 134 inhabitants). 60+) and Mr Kielce (51 921 inhabitants. 60+), which is already a major challenge in policy-making at regional level. According to forecasts, in the Kielce area in 2022-2060, among the above-mentioned areas, the highest increase in older persons will be recorded, amounting to 46%. The forecast indicates that in 2060 more than one-third of the residents of the voivodeship aged 60+ will be residents of the Kielce and Kielce districts (one in three residents aged 60 and over). Data from the Central Statistical Office (GUS) were used to analyse the situation in the demogr. region. As a result of the diagnosis by ROPS entitled The ‘Diagnosis of availability and demand for selected social and health services addressed to elderly people in the voivodship’ shows that in the voivodship, in 2022, the share of elderly people in the voivodship was 3%. 60+ in general, the population of the region amounted to 28.9% and was higher by 3 percentage points than the average in the country (25.9%). Most seniors live in m, Kielce and Kielce . The number of inhabitants of the Kielce and Kielce districts aged 60+ is as follows: 14.3% and 16.5% of the population of the elders of the provinces. In 2022, Kielce had 56 146 inhabitants aged 60+ (33 980 K and 22 166 M), representing 16.5% of the total 60+ population in the region. In the Kielce region, 48 693 people were recorded in 2022. (26 993 K and 21 700 M) aged 60 years and over. Between 2019 and 2022, the number of residents increased by 3 203 people, i.e. by 7%. The feminisation rate of old age in the region in 2022 for seniors aged 60-64 was 109.6 and for seniors aged 85 and over was 264.2. This means that in the voivodship, the population aged 60-64 per 100 M was 109 K, and in the voivodship aged 85 years and more per 100 M was 264 K. According to forecasts for 2060, a significant share of the population structure of the voivodship will be people aged 60 years and more (42%). The largest number of elderly people from under-population in Kielce (23.9 thousand) 14.5 thousand K and 9.5 thousand and the Kielce area (17.6 thousand) 10,000 K and 7.6 thousand M. Social assistance centres from the Holy Province took part in the diagnosis, which provided data on the implementation of social and health services in the period from 01.01.2022 to 31.12.2022, while the needs for the implementation of services were determined for 2023. The diagnosis was carried out for the purposes of the project's assumptions, the aim of which will be to create local support systems for elderly people in the region. Analyzing the situation of the area planned for support, attention was paid to the ageing of the population, expressed in the increasing share of elderly people in the population structure, which is a significant challenge for the development of the region.
