The aim of the project is to increase the competences of the Foundation's staff, necessary for its further development and broadening the scope of activities, and thus more fully implement the statutory objectives. It assumes increasing the scope of the organization's activities by strengthening the substantive potential of employees and volunteers with new competences and skills that in the future will allow to increase the scope of activities and improve the quality of services provided. Therefore, the decision was made to delegate the President to participate in the School of Trainers (ST). ST is a one-year specialization course. Reunions take place once a month, in addition, online meetings are held between stationary reunions using the zoom platform. It is a practical experience of group and team phenomena. This allows you to feel the situation in the training room, as well as a thorough understanding of interpersonal communication. Classes have the character of learning in action, based on a group process. Thanks to the interactive style of work, a lot of attention devoted to the psychology of the group, the graduate is prepared to conduct classes and facilitate in other forms based on the deep knowledge of working with the group. On the one hand, it will increase competences and qualifications (building the team's potential, creating a staff team), and on the other hand, it will encourage volunteers who are already part of the team that it is worth being actively involved in the Foundation's activities. The Foundation as a young organization does not permanently employ full-time employees - these are the only employees employed within the project, or volunteers. In most cases, the actions undertaken are pro-bono and are the result of the active involvement of volunteers. As a newly established organization, we want to invest in training employees in order to expand the Foundation's offer and increase the possibility of reaching a wider group of recipients with the offer. Currently, we translate Polish Sign Language (PJM) in various spheres of the Deaf's private life and ensure the availability of information and communication only in places and hours when it is possible to access the PJM interpreter. The Foundation does not have a person authorized to drive a vehicle, there are also no other offers in its resources apart from translations. To date, it has one simultaneous interpreter and two permanent volunteers. Many offers submitted to the Foundation as a form of cooperation must be refused, because the translator has no way to get to the place of the order. Many conferences, neighbouring counties or municipal offices cannot count on the help of employees or volunteers due to the impossibility of reaching the place for a certain time. Your translator depends on public transport or a local bus network. Often, such activities are unprofitable - 10 minutes of translation costs about 2 hours of travel. Due to the short period of activity, it is hardly recognizable in the local market, and the advertising process is very slow due to limited promotional opportunities. The Foundation plans to expand its activities to include training activities, or advocacy activities in the field of accessibility or people with disabilities. For the extensive activities of the Foundation, one person without a driver's license is not enough. Therefore, one person will be trained in the professional conduct of group classes, and the other will take a driving license course. Health problems exclude the possibility for an interpreter to acquire the right to drive vehicles and thus to train only one person. Increasing the team's competences with new skills - including largely psychological ones, which are considered as deficiencies (there is no psychologist in the team) will allow to increase the scope and quality of services provided. Obtaining a driving licence by Foundation members will contribute to reducing the costs associated with hiring a driver, which will significantly improve the organization of work by increasing the mobility of its members and increase the scope of the Foundation's activities.
