For the development of food aid in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship

The aim of the project is to support the development of the institutional capacity of the non-governmental organization entitled Kielce Food Bank (KBŻ), acting in the form of associations, to implement the social inclusion policy supported by the ESF+ in the regional programme of the EFF 2021-2027 - by strengthening the substantive capacity of employees, collaborators and volunteers of the KBŻ (training) and strengthening the organisational (technical capacity of the KBŻ) from 1.12.2024 to 30.11.2025. The planned support will contribute, among others: to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the statutory activities implemented by KBŻ and the implementation of new forms of food aid in the Świętokrzyskie Province. The project will contribute to the specific objective ESO4.11. Enhancing equal and timely access to quality, sustainable and affordable services(...), including promoting access to social protection, with a particular focus on children and disadvantaged groups(...); The project was based on the diagnosis of the social situation in the Świętokrzyskie voivodship, which was included in the development strategy of the FSC and as a result of a survey conducted among employees and collaborators and permanent volunteers of the FSC. The project's activities are an exact response to the challenges identified in the development strategy of the CCNR related to the social and economic situation of the region (creation of social cuisine) and the needs of respondents from the CCNR. On the basis of the surveys, an analysis was also made regarding the existence of possible gender inequalities among employees and collaborators as well as permanent volunteers of KBŻ, and it was not found that such inequalities existed. No employee, collaborator or permanent volunteer will have limited access to the offer of this project due to their race or ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age or sexual orientation. The project will be in line with the Charter of Fundamental Rights, the principle of sustainable development and DNSH (the principle of non-food waste implemented in practice, the use of energy-efficient purchases and paper savings in double-sided printing). The principle of equal opportunities and non-discrimination, including accessibility for persons with disabilities, will be respected. The Kielce Food Bank is a non-governmental organisation established on 19 June 2007 (date of registration with the National Court Register), operating on the basis of the Law of 7 April 1998 on associations and the Law of 24 April 2003 on public benefit activities and voluntary service. Three main principles it implements: 1.non-profit activity, i.e. activity without profit through free sourcing and distribution of food, 2.food to beneficiaries is directed by charitable organisations that directly deal with nutrition and 3.the principle of apolitical and philosophical diversity. On this foundation, the activities of the CCNR are built, they concern: reducing the areas of hunger and malnutrition in the Świętokrzyskie region through food aid, developing the habit of rational food management, proper nutrition, healthy lifestyle and respect for food through educational activities, conferences and social campaigns, managing surplus food from producers and distributors, food with expired shelf life, with damaged packaging, trial series, etc., organising emergency assistance through public collections, including in particular food collections, for people affected by social exclusion and victims of natural disasters, activities for the social inclusion of people at risk of social exclusion, especially the poor, the unemployed, the homeless, the disabled and dysfunctional families, activities in the field of training and volunteering organisations, involving people to take action for the poorest, developing sensitivity to others, especially the poor and the lifeless. The aim of the losses. development of KBŻ is to create a social kitchen from scratch in the near future, for which it is necessary to strengthen the technical potential of the organization and substantive staff.
