Strong and stable DOGadanka

The DOGadanka Foundation has been operating since 13 August 2015, based in the small village of Wola Kopcowa, Masłów district. We operate mainly in the area of the City of Kielce and the Kielce poviat, as well as adjacent poviats. The Foundation operates statutoryally in the field of education, health and social services. We support adults with disabilities and their surroundings, defining their problems and looking for solutions. We use good practices from all over the world, drawing on knowledge, experience and standards developed in specialized organizations and federations (Polish Federation of Assisted Employment and Federation of Disabled Supporters). More than 400 people are the recipients of our activities, and our recent analyses show that this group is steadily growing. The lack of financial stability, poor recognition and insufficient fundrising activities, as well as the need to increase the competences of the Foundation's Management Board members and its employees, collaborators and volunteers, are the problems we define. Currently, the perceived lack in the organization is insufficiently efficient circulation of an ever-increasing amount of documentation, secure archiving, the ability to properly develop and implement solutions necessary for better efficiency and professionalization of activities. We define the need to strengthen with additional competences, professionalization, ensuring continuity of financing of our organization's activities. The Foundation operates thanks to grants and grants from: PFRON, the Świętokrzyskie Marshal's Office, the City of Kielce, the Provincial Office in Kielce, as well as the City Centre for Family Assistance and the support of donors and volunteers. However, this system is not able to ensure continuity of funding and maintain the full range of support we offer. Insufficient recognition outside the environment of persons with disabilities - this is a barrier that limits the possibilities of cooperation - at this stage with potential employers of persons with disabilities and donors, and at a planned later stage with contractors with whom the foundation intends to cooperate in the business model as service providers, business partners. The project will enable us to expand the Foundation's mission, increase brand recognition, to the local business space and will lay the foundations for fundraising activities, enable us to participate in business meetings and supplement tools for properly building the image and intensifying fundraising activities during outdoor events and fairs. Diversification of sources of finalization of statutory activities is for us an extremely important change in the foundation that we plan as a result of the project. Launching an online store offering, among others, products manufactured by us at workshops, is in the future the creation of jobs and the beginning of the process of building permanent revenues not related to the calendar of project implementation. We place great emphasis on environmental education and promoting pro-environmental attitudes. Showing how to give a second life to objects, how to create something out of nothing, how to use the gifts of the earth and we treat it as one of our missions. When planning the implementation of this project, we want to give a second life to clothes that, thanks to our original graphic designs, will become a new brand. T-shirts, trousers, dresses or bags sewn from clothes will be decorated with the method of embroidery, patchwork printing, screen printing, by painting and hanging on the hanger of our charity store created as part of the social enterprise, from which the income will contribute to the statutory activity. Persons with disabilities will be involved in the operation of the devices and the store as part of work samples, activities related to professional activation.
