Step towards activity

The main objective of the project from 01.08.2024 to 30.06.2026 is to increase employment opportunities and increase knowledge in the field of equality between women and men on the labour market of 210 women, over 18 years of age, unemployed and inactive (in particular from rural areas), returning to the labour market after the childcare period of up to 7 years and/or people in need of support in everyday functioning, living in the area of Świętokrzyskie Province [WŚ] according to the Central Committee by providing them with comprehensive support in the field of professional activation. The project’s objective is in line with the policy objective (CP4) – a more social, inclusive and implementing Europe’s Pillar of Social Rights and the specific objective (ESF+.CP4.C) – ‘Fostering gender-balanced participation in the labour market, equal working conditions and a better work-life balance, including through access to affordable childcare and care for people in need of daily support’. The project support is addressed to women returning to the labour market after completing the period of caring for a child up to 7 years of age or people in need of support in everyday functioning, for which comprehensive activation support will be applied in the form of, among others, the development of an Individual Action Plan [IPD], individual psychological and vocational counselling, training in the field of equal opportunities K and M, training to improve professional qualifications / skills, job placement and dietary consultations along with personal training. Comprehensive activation support will enable them to holistically improve their quality of life and overcome the barriers associated with returning to the labour market, and consequently take up satisfactory employment. The results of the project will be achieved through the implementation of the following types of activities: 1. Identifying the needs of participants and developing an Individual Action Plan for 210 UP 2. Individual psychological counseling for 108 UP 3. Individual career guidance for 108 UP 4. Digital competence training for 60UP 5. Individual dietary consultations with personal training for 180 UP 6. Training to improve qualifications/professional skills for 210 UP, including the module Training on equal opportunities for women and men for 210UP 7. Individual job placement for 180 UP The direct result of the project will be the achievement of result indicators: -Number of people who are in a better position on the labour market after leaving the programme - 84 -Number of people who have improved their level of knowledge on equality between K and M thanks to the support of the programme - 189 The more difficult situation of women on the labour market in the WW, worsened in recent years by the COVID-19 pandemic, is manifested by: *lower wages for women compared to men *lower labour market participation of women and their more frequent deactivation *lower liquidity of women’s unemployment – when they lose their jobs, they find it harder to find employment. The disadvantage of women is directly linked to the role attributed to women in society as mother-carers, which entails an unequal distribution of responsibilities, in particular caring responsibilities, and numerous gender stereotypes. During the pandemic, women’s unpaid care work increased, aggravating the asymmetry in combining work and home responsibilities. Women were more affected than men by falling incomes due to price increases in ‘22 and ’23 due to lower wages [2]. The pay gap for K and M in WŚ in the case of employment contracts is 2%, and in the case of mandate contracts it is as much as 15%[2]. This is caused by more frequent and longer breaks in the work of women, which result not only from the birth of a child, the use of maternity and parental leave, but also from the care of children during illness.
