LENS R&D infrastructure

SUBJECT MATTER OF THE PROJECT: The subject of the project is the investment of LENS CLINICS in infrastructure directly related to research and innovation activities, focusing on increasing the efficiency of performed eye microsurgery treatments using medical lasers. The infrastructure will be used to conduct systematic and coordinated research and development activities aimed at acquiring new knowledge and skills, in order to develop new ones and introduce significant improvements to existing treatment protocols using medical lasers for the treatment of glaucoma and cataracts. The second substantive area of the project is the opening of the CLINICS to new digital technologies and obtaining the opportunity to actively participate in the changes referred to as the fourth industrial revolution (Economy 4.0). CURRENT SCOPE: Task_1: Expansion of the Clinic building for the purpose of conducting research and development activities presented in the Research Agenda of the Project: Task_2: Purchase of equipment and equipment for the purpose of conducting research and development activities presented in the Research Agenda of the Project: 1. Ophthalmic microscope 2. Laser for cell stimulation 3. Ophthalmic unit_3 pcs. 4. Slit lamp_type.1 5. Slit lamp_type.2 6. Autorefraktokeratometer 7. Foropter_pcs.4 8. Display of optotypes_sz. 4 9. Construction of medical and utility furniture_kpl WAY OF IMPLEMENTATION: Implementation will be carried out directly by the Applicant. The clinic will have a functionally autonomous and technologically integrated research and development infrastructure, enabling the implementation of proprietary Research Protocols, in accordance with a uniform medical, ethical and scientific standard specified in the principles of GOOD CLINICAL PRACTICE. KEY STAGES OF PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION: 1. Establishment of internal procedures for project implementation (separated sub-account, separate records, promotion/designation of the project, rules for cooperation with external entities); 2. Selection of contractors, in accordance with the Guidelines on eligibility of expenditure and the Competitiveness Principle; 3. Execution of deliveries by selected Contractors; 4. Receipt of deliveries; 5. Payment requests, including reporting, pre-financing, clearing; 6. Achieve and document project output and result indicators; 7. Application for final payment; 8. Project control; 9. Monitoring and reporting on the sustainability of the project and the achievement of result indicators. PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT: LENS becomes a leader in the use of medical lasers in eye microsurgery procedures, by developing and strengthening research and innovation capacities and increasing the use of advanced systems and technologies, including digital ones. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: I. Increasing the potential of LENS CLINICS in the implementation of research and development activities and the development of advanced procedures for diagnostics and laser therapy of eye diseases. II. Implementation of the Research Protocol set out in the Research Agenda, development of innovative solutions in accordance with the Opinion on Innovation, implementation of the results of research and development to the activities of LENS III Clinics. Creating favourable conditions for testing, absorbing and participating in the development of new medical technologies supporting medicine. Adaptation and opening of LENS CLINICS to changes referred to as the fourth industrial revolution (Economy 4.0). IV. Increasing the quality of life of people, patients LENS CLINICS, improving the quality and availability of treatment services for glaucoma and cataracts I. Strengthening the economic potential of the region based on innovative activity and expanding export opportunities
