"Science can be fun" - better education in Kowaly Oleckie

The aim of the project is to develop key competences, basic and transversal skills resulting from individual needs in 120 students (52K, including 58 (20K) from the SPE from the Primary School in Kowaly Oleckie by: implementation of attractive extra-curricular activities for pupils, courses for 23 students (19K) in the field of improving their skills and competences and personal development, workshops for 50 parents (30K) and purchase of specialist equipment and teaching aids necessary for the implementation of support in the period from 01.10.2024 to 30.06.2026. The support is addressed to the target group (GD) consisting of: -120 pupils (52K) in Kowaly Oleckie, including 58 pupils from SPE (20K), including 4 OzN (1K); 23 teachers (19K); 50 parents (30K) of SP students. The objective, scope and GD were determined as a result of the diagnosis carried out in March 2024 (approved by the lead authority, i.e. Municipality of Kowale Oleckie), in accordance with the specific access criterion No 6. As part of the project, the following tasks are planned, the implementation of which will contribute to the achievement of the objective: TITLE 1: Supporting pupils by developing key competences, basic and transversal skills resulting from their individual needs in the John Paul II SP in Kowaly Oleckie Task 2: Creating conditions for the implementation of inclusive education in the John Paul II SP in Kowaly Oleckie Task 3: Support for teachers from the John Paul II SP in Kowaly Oleckie Task 4: Active support for families of pupils from the John Paul II University of Life Sciences in Kowaly Oleckie Awareness-raising activities related to anti-discrimination addressed to pupils, teachers and parents of pupils from the John Paul II SP in Kowaly Oleckie W-ca planned activities in P based on the diagnosis (D) of needs carried out in March 2024. The need for the implementation of the project and the scope of support was determined on the basis of the diag. carried out by the SP and approved by the Leading Authority. D was carried out using research tools: analysis of data, documents, conversations with parents, conversations with children, conversations with teachers. Participated in D: -120 pupils (52K) in Kowaly Oleckie - conversations with pupils during upbringing lessons; -23 teachers (19K)- conversations with the teacher. during the meetings he will teach.; -50 parents (30K) of SP students - talking to parents during parents' meetings. On the basis of the above-mentioned diagnosis, the following problems and barriers were diagnosed: PROBLEMS: STUDENTS: Insufficient number of free activities (in-person and off-campus), including activities that develop competences and skills and compensate for deficits and their insufficient attractiveness, which translates into low level of knowledge acquisition and low level of key competences, basic and transversal skills; lack of motivation of pupils due to outdated teaching techniques, insufficient provision of teaching aids necessary for high-quality education. TEACHERS: insufficient awareness of pacific methods with children from the SPE, insufficient knowledge in the field, lack of appropriate tools, i.e. equipment and teaching aids enabling classes to be conducted in an interesting and innovative way, and appropriate training enabling the use and implementation of modern educational methods; Parents: lack of free workshops for parents of school-age children, limited financial possibilities; displacing difficult topics by assuming that ‘my child is not affected’.
