This project is based on the diagnosis of areas related to vocational education in the Agricultural School Complex in Smolajna (approved by the school's leading authority, i.e. District Office in Olsztyn - IX.2023). The Agricultural Schools in Smolajna have been actively involved in the implementation of projects related to the extension of the educational offer for their students for years. In the previous financial perspective, ZSR students in Smolajna were covered by, among others, projects implemented by external entities as well as the Olsztyński District, whose thematic scope included the implementation of vocational courses and additional classes supplementing the practical apprenticeship of students. By providing a permanent additional offer of vocational courses, it is possible to maintain a high enrolment rate at the school. The implementation of additional courses and trainings contributes significantly to the professional development of students, which makes them more and more attractive employees in the eyes of entrepreneurs and are better prepared to carry out work on farms. The vocational training and courses provided students with the opportunity to acquire additional qualifications/professional skills that are not implemented as part of the curriculum and are important from the point of view of employability of school students or performing work on the farm. In addition, the implementation of project activities contributes significantly to the promotion of the school in the local environment, where students increasingly expect an additional educational offer in the form of additional courses, which, as a rule, they would not be able to implement themselves mainly due to the financial barrier. The main problem in the case of the implementation of such defined activities is the lack of own resources of the school for the implementation of an additional educational offer. Another problem area is the retrofitting of the school. Directions requiring retrofitting are the farmer's technician in the direction related to agrotechnical treatments and the Veterinary Technician. The retrofitting of training courses in the profession of veterinary technicians is dictated by the lack of sufficient own resources of the school for the purchase of equipment (equipment), which would fully meet the expectations of students and teachers of vocational subjects and, above all, is dictated by the requirements that are set in connection with the progress that is occurring in agriculture and veterinary, in particular in terms of cooperation between the school and its environment (agricultural farms / enterprises operating in the field of agriculture), where these entities use modern equipment (machine) infrastructure. In order to enrich the educational offer of the Agricultural School Complex in Smolajna, the school through its leading body, i.e. The Olsztyński District intends to implement a project that will contribute to strengthening its cooperation with the socio-economic environment. All possible actions are a response to the expectations of employers in the field of education of our students, including the emerging demand for appropriate qualifications in industries / areas specifically related to the professions taught at school.
