The project will be implemented by the District of Olsztyn, with the participation of the District Center for Family Assistance in Olsztyn. It is worth noting that in Olsztyn County there is a slight increase in the population. In 2021, the population was 128,935, of which 50.7% were women. In 2022, this number slightly increased to 129 555 people. The value of the indicator of beneficiaries of environmental social assistance per 10 thousand inhabitants in the Olsztyn Poviat was 557 people in 2021 (data for 2022 are not available). The registered unemployment rates in 2021 and 2022 were 8% and 7.2% respectively. Developed on the basis of BDL GUS. Unfortunately, the number of foster families in the Olsztyński district is still insufficient. Data from the Central Statistical Office indicate that in the Olsztyn County the number of foster families is systematically decreasing: in 2020, there were 176, in 2021 there were 172 and in 2022 there were only 165. There is a particular shortage of professional foster families, the number of which in 2020 was 13, in 2021 it increased to 14, and in 2022 it remained at the level of 14 families. Professional foster families represent only 8.4% of all foster families According to the "Report on the activities of the PCPR in Olsztyn for 2022", cooperation with 20 new foster families has been established, but at the same time 30 foster families have been disbanded. In 2022, the Centre conducted 24 qualifications for candidates for foster carers, of which only 21 were successful. Another edition of PRIDE training has also been launched: Family foster care for candidates for foster parents. In total, five PRIDE trainings were held: Family foster care. In 2020 they were completed by 7 people, in 2021 by 8 people (4 people from PRIDE training and 4 people from other trainings organised by MAIO Foundations) and in 2022-2023 by 20 people (15 PRIDE and 5 MAIO Foundation).
