Expansion of provincial road No. 442 on the section Gizałki - Kalisz in the Pleszew district (Chocz - border of the Pleszew district)

The investment is located in the south-eastern part of the Wielkopolskie Voivodship, in the municipality of Chocz, Pleszewski County. The investment runs through the following towns: Old Olesiec, Piła, Kuźnia, Brudzewek. The investment in question runs along provincial road No 442 and covers a section of 9.210 km, from km 46+313.61 to km 55+521.69. The designed axis of the provincial road is guided by the existing footprint. The development of provincial road No. 442 was designed in a way that ensures optimal use of the available road lane and in a way that minimizes the purchase of private land while ensuring the greatest possible fluidity and traffic safety. The scope of the project includes, among others: - extension of provincial road No 442 - extension of intersections, - construction of additional roadways, due to the need to service plots located at the planned road, - construction and reconstruction of bus bays, - construction and reconstruction of pedestrian and bicycle routes, - demolition and construction of road culverts: with box section – 3 pieces, HDPE pipe culverts – 11 pieces (a total of 14 pieces), - construction of road lane drainage, - construction and reconstruction of lighting: reconstruction of existing road lighting and construction of additional lighting of planned pedestrian crossings, - construction of an island slowing down traffic, - construction and reconstruction of technical infrastructure devices, - construction and reconstruction of slopes, - felling and planting of trees, - traffic safety devices: protective barriers and railings, at pedestrian crossings and bus stop platforms, warning elements of the Invoice Warning Marking (FON) system are designed, and spot reflective elements along segregation and edge lines are also planned. In the road section, surface drainage is designed for existing, rebuilt and built road ditches. In the street and semi-street section, drainage is designed using road drains with drainage to road ditches or rainwater drainage. In environmental terms, the investment will primarily contribute to reducing emissions of pollutants introduced into the air, improving acoustic conditions as well as improving the condition of the ground and water environment and improving the rainwater drainage system. The project will be implemented outside Natura 2000 sites. The closest Natura 2000 site, located approximately 1.7 km from the project site, is the Pyzdrska Forest Special Area of Conservation PLH300060. No significant negative impact of the project on the natural environment is expected. The implementation of the investment will not adversely affect protected areas, in particular natural habitats, plant and animal species and their habitats for the protection of which Natura 2000 sites have been designated, nor the deterioration of the integrity of Natura 2000 sites or links with other areas. The planned extension of the road will improve transport conditions and, through the segregation of car and pedestrian traffic, will contribute to increasing traffic safety on this section. Project outputs: Length of upgraded or reconstructed provincial roads: 9,210 km/year 2027 Number of projects financing reasonable accommodation costs for persons with disabilities (ERDF/CF/JTF): 0 pcs. /year 2027 Construction and reconstruction of engineering structures located on provincial roads: 14 pcs/year 2027 Number of investments improving road safety: 1 pcs/year 2027
