The project will be implemented in the period from 01.01.2024 to 30.06.2029. The project will be implemented in the area of Eastern Wielkopolska (WW), counties such as Konin, Konin, Turkish, Kolski and Słupsk. Some of the tasks will be carried out at the headquarters of the Regional Centre for Social Policy in Poznań (hereinafter: ROPS), ul. Nowowiejski 11, (61-731) Poznań and in the project office in Konin. The main objective of the project is to increase the capacity of social policy institutions and local 20 communities and to manage social change and provide support to people affected by the energy transition and their families in the period from 1.01.2024 to 30.06.2029. In addition, the project aims to contribute to: -increasing access to crisis-mitigating support services for people affected by the energy transition and their families. strengthening local communities in increasing the social activity of their inhabitants. The target group of the project are people living and/or working in the area of project implementation:, including: • people affected by the transition towards climate neutrality and their environment, i.e. people/families/groups affected by the energy transition, • local communities affected by the transition, including children and young people at risk of the effects of the transition on the prevention of social problems, • staff of local government units and social policy institutions of municipalities and districts affected by the transition. The project has three main components: 1. support for local government staff and social policy institutions of municipalities and counties in the field of managing social change and the social consequences of the energy transition, including development programmes for local government staff and social policy institutions (e.g. organisation of development programmes for leaders) – task ROPS 2. support for local government units and local communities, including children and young people, in the development of social problem prevention services provided in the local environment (task ROPS), including: • psycho-prevention, including in particular crisis intervention, prevention of loneliness, addiction and prevention of violence, integration of local communities • prevention of youth exclusion, implementation of the model of supporting social activity of young people, promotion of the launch of places of activity dedicated to young people (e.g. youth clubs, day support facilities in the form of a backyard) 3. Development of services provided in the local environment for people affected by the transition and their surroundings, in municipalities and districts (tasks implemented by local government units as part of grants) – including, among others, launching local places for the provision of services, e.g. transformation support centres providing support services (including preventive and intervention services) and the function of a service coordinator in the area of support for people affected by the transition and their families. The project will contribute to the following effects: at least 500 people – representatives of local government units and social policy institutions of municipalities and districts affected by the transition and members of local communities will be supported in the field of change management and the development of social problem prevention services. - at least 20 local communities will be supported in the development of services supporting people affected by the energy transition. Due to the innovative nature of the process and the involvement of the Wielkopolska Regional Government in it, comprehensive actions are planned, which will be undertaken in a targeted manner to meet the needs of its participants. It is assumed that the support process will be sequential - first comprehensive support for the staff of social policy institutes (2024), which will allow them to be equipped with the competences to manage change and develop projects in the field of development of services for people affected by the transition and their families, then start implementing services in local government units through grants and continue training support and support for local communities. The project complies with the DI principles set out in the Reg. and national documents.
