Development of post-mining areas through the construction of recreational and recreational infrastructure over Kleczewska Malta

The area of Eastern Wielkopolska, including the Kleczew commune, requires actions aimed at rational development of post-industrial areas. These measures will restore the economic and environmental value of degraded areas and areas affected by the mining industry. The project plans to develop post-mining areas located in the area of the Kleczew commune through the construction of recreational and leisure infrastructure on the Kleczewska Malta. The planned project will help to clean up the area after the operation of the opencast mine and create attractive places to spend time actively both for the residents of Kleczew and the surrounding municipalities, as well as tourists. Through sustainable activities, the project envisages the transformation of these areas into a multifunctional recreation and recreation area that harmoniously combines social, economic and environmental elements. The recreation and recreation area will consist of the following elements: 1) Administrative area with sanitary facilities, green area and playground 2) Disc Golf field 3) Education and recreation park 4) Multifunctional square 5) Parking: 6) Paved surfaces The project also plans actions to promote knowledge on the just and green transition. The material scope of the project includes the following categories of expenditure: 1. Preparatory work – preparation of project documentation 2. Construction of recreational and leisure infrastructure over Kleczewska Malta 3. Construction works – RES installations (de minimis aid) 4. Investor supervision 5. Indirect costs Project timetable: - project start date - 01.06.2025 - project end date - 30.05.2027 The project is a stand-alone (operational) unit of analysis. The investment tasks planned in the project are aimed at creating a fully functional and operational infrastructure. The planned activities are aimed at creating a fully operational infrastructure that will serve recreation, environmental education, development of the local economy and improving the quality of life of residents, while supporting the sustainable development of the region through the use of renewable energy sources and adaptation to climate change. The project is an example of a sustainable approach to the development of brownfield sites, combining social, economic and environmental benefits. The transformation of these areas into recreational, educational and touristic spaces will bring long-term benefits to the local community, while contributing to the improvement of the natural environment and strengthening the competitiveness of the region in the investment context.
