The project "Improving the quality of education infrastructure in M.Konin in order to adapt to the needs of the regional labour market" will be implemented from 01.07.2024 to 31.12.2025 in the City of Konin, Wielkopolska Wschodnia. The project is a response to the diagnosed needs and problems resulting from the process of energy, economic and social transformation that the Konin region is undergoing. In schools in M. Konin, among students 53% are students from the Konin district. According to the diagnosis of the Wielkopolska East Strategy by 2040, the education system in the subregion needs changes in order to adapt the directions and profiles of education to the needs of the Greater Poland labour market. Eastern, effectively responding to the contemporary challenges of the company based on knowledge and innovation (equipment of the RES studio in the ZSGE). Priority directions in this area are support for vocational education. Emphasis should also be placed on the development of key competences on the labour market or the promotion of the idea of lifelong learning (equipment CKZ). An important direction is also strengthening the role of sport in shaping pro-citizen attitudes, through, among others, investments in the reconstruction, construction and modernization of sports facilities (reconstruction of sports fields in the ZSBiKZ). Therefore, the main goal of the project is to improve the quality of vocational and sports education infrastructure in 3 secondary schools in M.Konin by 2025, which will contribute to better vocational education adapted to the needs of the regional labour market and integration. Created as part of the project inf., i.e. the creation of workshops will be used to increase the quality of education for young people (ZSGE) and youth/adults (CKZ) and the reconstruction of pitches (ZSBiKZ) will serve the development of integration and inclusion activities as part of the fight against social exclusion and education (integration, activation, additional activities). The work of RES in the ZSGE will be a patronage class, because the equipment was consulted with local employers, so that the purchased equipment and devices reflect the actual working conditions. In addition, students will benefit from practical training with the employer and/or apprenticeships with the employer. The adaptation of the edu.infrast.to education is in line with the deficits on the local labour market (data from the 2024 competition barometer for M.Konin and the Konin district), i.e. car inspectors (company diagnostics room in the CKZ), construction installation assemblers (RES plant in the ZSGE), additionally RES work, automotive diagnostics and the reconstruction of the pitch are part of smart regional specialisations as described in the feasibility study. On the other hand, the reconstruction of the pitches in the ZSBiKZ through integration and activation (in accordance with the technical documentation) is complementary to the projects/interventions and objectives of the ESF+, as it supports policy areas and priorities aimed at improving education and training systems and promoting social inclusion and health/objective (vii) supporting active social inclusion, including with a view to promoting equal opportunities and active participation and increasing employability. The implementation of the project will also contribute to increasing the comprehensiveness of education in a given institution, in relation to the infrastructure financed under the project, improving the quality and attractiveness of equipping places for practical apprenticeships, supporting students in acquiring additional qualifications that increase their chances on the labour market, improving access to extracurricular activities, additional classes or the use of infrastructure outside school hours. The project is in line with the Development Strategy of the City of Konin - NŚR poz. 22 Education in line with the nature and needs of the labour market and with the Education and Training Strategy in the context of the energy transition.
