The aim of the project is to develop the potential of urban policy actors in terms of the territorial dimension of cohesion policy, to strengthen the administrative capacity of local government units and other entities, and to support the implementation of activities aimed at conducting effective urban policy, conducting development activities and strengthening activities implemented within the participatory budget. Activities will focus, among others, on strengthening the competences of beneficiaries and potential beneficiaries, increasing effectiveness in applying and implementing projects and promoting best practices and experiences in conducting urban policy, implementing tools and mechanisms to prepare municipalities for new and difficult challenges identified in the Partnership Agreement and related to, among others, population ageing, urban depopulation, energy poverty or climate change. The educational component related to the dissemination of developed solutions and the promotion of good practices in this area among other potential stakeholders interested in implementing similar mechanisms will also be important. Support will also be given to the scientific-expert component implemented by research institutes/experts, whose aim will be to provide knowledge and tools (on the state of development and trends) and recommendations for further actions useful to the Institute and other urban policy practitioners. The planned activities also include cooperation with experts, organization of conferences, meetings, study visits and other forms of exchange of experience. Pilot projects are also possible. The objective of the project is therefore in line with the objective of Priority 2 of the PTFE, as it aims to strengthen the competences of the key group of potential beneficiaries of European funds, i.e. The project is a continuation of projects POPT.03.01.00-00-0235/18 and POPT.03.01.00-00-0239/18 implemented in POPT 2014-2020, where expenditure was incurred until 30 June 2023 and will be settled until 31 December 2023.
