The Broadband Competence Office (BCO) initiative was created on the basis of the European Commission's EU-wide concept to support the achievement of the EU's Digital Agenda objectives with an emphasis on the Digital Single Market and the Gigabit Society. Establishment took place in accordance with the National Network Development Plan (NGN), approved by the Government of the Czech Republic on 5 October 2016. BCO Czech Republic is a follow-up project to the BCO project implemented in the last programming period.
