The project focuses on a key challenge of contemporary society: environmentally acceptable energy security supporting its future existence. This highly ambitious goal will be addressed in a comprehensive way that combines approaches from chemical physics, material chemistry, chemical engineering, electrical engineering and urban planning to support breakthrough discoveries in energy conversion and storage. The project includes 6 scientific research projects covering the entire R&D chain in this area.
