Saving lives through research on early detection and prevention of cancer: Molecular, genomic and social factors Malignant tumors are the second most common cause of mortality in the Czech Republic and the EU, while half of these deaths can be prevented by prevention. The SALVAGE project addresses the main research challenges in primary, secondary and tertiary cancer prevention. Its implementation will contribute to the main objectives of Europe's Beating Cancer Plan and the Health Research Concept of the Czech Republic 2030.
