Biophysical properties of lipid droplets and their consequences for Gaucher's and Parkinson's disease Lipid droplets (LD) are ubiquitous dynamic organelles. Violation of their homeostasis has been described in a number of diseases. Within the proposed project, I aim to describe the relationship between the composition of lipid droplets and their biophysical properties using the Laurdan GP method. These findings will allow to investigate LD in living cells with high time resolution, which will help to understand their physiological and pathological function. In cell models, I will describe the role of LD in Gaucher's disease and Parkinson's disease.share on FacebookTwitterLinkedinEmailreport an issue
