Schizophrenia, a global mental disorder, often remains undetected until the first psychotic episode, despite earlier silent symptoms. Understanding its neural mechanisms is essential for the diagnosis and effectiveness of treatment. The aim of this project is to reveal how changes in white matter affect brain function in schizophrenia, using innovative whole-brain modeling and advanced neuroimaging techniques. The project promises groundbreaking knowledge in both computer neuroscience and psychiatry.
