The aim of the construction is to reconstruct the railway station Brno-Královo Pole and track No. 1 in the adjacent track sections Brno-Maloměřice - Brno-Královo Pole and Brno-Královo Pole - Kuřim. As part of the construction, 12 bridges, 9 culverts, 1 underpass and 1 road overpass will be modernized. A new passenger building will be built in the station (the existing one will be demolished). The construction also includes modernization modifications of communication, signalling and heavy-current equipment as well as traction lines.
