As part of the project, the ETCS on-board unit will be equipped with 2 vehicles from IDS Cargo a.s., namely vehicles with the designations 742.516-8 and 742.260-3. ETCS is a modern and standardised rail safety system that is used to improve the safety and efficiency of rail transport in Europe. ETCS has been developed to replace different national train traffic management systems and improve interoperability between rail networks in different countries.
