The installation of the single European train protection system follows the interest in installing it in modern versions corresponding to the current specifications. The mobile part of ETCS on MV ETCS is made in the version according to BL2 specifications, has been in operation since 2013 and is supplied by a non-existent manufacturer. The intention of the project is to install a new ETCS OBU corresponding to the functionally minimally reduced envelope of functions 2.1 according to BL4.
