The South Bohemian Region is one of the regions with the highest number of solid fuel boilers used for local heating of households. Household heating thus plays a significant role in pollutant emissions and has a negative impact on local air quality. Therefore, in order to improve air quality, it is necessary for the South Bohemian Region to continue to focus on replacing outdated solid fuel boilers, especially in lower-income households, for which the acquisition of a new heat source may represent a heavy financial burden.
