The aim of the project is to make the Medard lake site accessible to the inhabitants of the Karlovy Vary Region and to gradually revitalize and resocialize the landscape affected by lignite mining. The project should start a controlled development of the site's potential for leisure use with an emphasis on environmental and educational aspects. This managed development will accentuate environmental issues and, in this spirit, will also limit the use of the territory so that it is environmentally friendly.
