The overall objective of the project ‘Modernisation of the agri-food market Beius Municipality’ is to provide a centralised and organised space where agricultural producers and traders can sell and buy agri-food products. It aims to facilitate trade and interactions between producers, distributors and consumers, while ensuring food quality and safety. The purpose of the above-mentioned project is: a)Product quality assurance, by means of strict rules and food safety rules, the agri-food market in Beius will promote fresh and quality products. b)Promoting local trade, the agri-food market will provide local producers with an environment in which to sell their products directly to consumers, thus reducing intermediaries and supporting the local economy. c)Small producers' support will give small producers a chance to sell their products without being overwhelmed by the competition of large distribution chains.
