Culture, as an urban development factor, reaffirms the importance of local identity and specificity, which implies the need to protect cultural heritage and to raise awareness of its value by the community. The measures taken by the central and local public administration in this field should support the contribution of culture and cultural heritage to the territorial regeneration of the respective community, by highlighting the elements of local and regional identity and by better protecting the local and national cultural heritage.
