The main objective of the HiCONNECTS project is to support major societal and industrial challenges by developing Heterogenous Integration (HI) technology solutions for high-performance, energy-efficient cloud and edge computing (wireless/wireless) applications, as well as for automotive radar applications in order to solve two of the main obstacles in state-of-the-art technologies: Transmission of Internet of Things (IoT) data through the IT network and object detection to enable Highly Automated Driving (HAD). HiCONNECTS will address these challenges through major technological/revolutionary developments, based on heterogeneous integration (HI), of next-generation RF and IT network technologies. Advances will include new ways to integrate 2.5D and 3D electronic and photonic components on Int and Int substrates
