The overall objective of the project is to increase the degree of protection and conservation of the brown bear population in Romania. The overall objective at national level is the long-term maintenance of the current conservation status of the brown bear population and its habitat. The favourable conservation status (FV-Favourable rating, a rating similar to the reporting on the Habitats Directive) existing at this date is an associated result indicator and will not undergo any changes after the completion of the project.
