Modernisation of county road DJ 504, Giurgiu-Vieru-Putineiu-Gogoșari - Teleorman county boundary, sectors km 3+263 - 9+473; km 10+753 - 20+200

The overall objective of the project is to develop and increase sustainable regional and local mobility by increasing the accessibility of urban and rural areas to the TEN-T network by upgrading the county road DJ 504. The upgraded road sector will link the municipality of Giurgiu (DN5-E60/E81 Bucuresti – Giurgiu which is part of the European Corridor 9, with the Giurgiu Bypass and then through the rehabilitated county road network in Teleorman County with DN6 – E70 which is part of the European Corridor 4. Thus, the proposed investment aims to develop connectivity to the TEN-T network, increase safety and traffic flow and will create benefits for economic growth, mobility of goods and people in Giurgiu County and will contribute to reducing intra-regional disparities.
