The overall objective of the project is to prepare the funding application and tender documentation for the INFRAMETEO investment project (‘Modernisation of the infrastructure for monitoring and warning of severe hydro-meteorological phenomena to ensure the protection of life and property’) with a view to obtaining funding from European funds for the 2021-2027 programming period. The INFRAMETEO project will further develop the national monitoring and warning system for hazardous weather events to ensure the protection of life and property by implementing the following components:  Modernisation of the meteorological radar network (7 Doppler, dual-polarimetric, S-band meteorological radars);  Upgrading the lightning detection network;  Upgrading the communication infrastructure and improving the performance of the NAM IT system;  Extension of the modernisation of the national network of meteorol stations
