The overall objective of the project is set in direct correlation with Specific Objective 3.1 (SO): Developing a sustainable, climate-resilient, smart, secure, sustainable and intermodal TEN-T network (Cohesion Fund). The project for the rehabilitation of works at Fetești and Ciulnița stations, on the Bucharest-Constanta railway line, is an integral part of Romania’s General Transport Master Plan, a strategic development document for the national transport infrastructure, approved by the Romanian Government by Decision No 666/2016. The Bucharest-Constanta railway line is an important line of the Romanian railway network, as it takes over European traffic from the 2 central corridors located on the territory of Romania and connects the Rhine-Danube Corridor (formerly Corridor IV) with the countries of South-Eastern Europe (Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey). Having a general orientation from west to east, it connects Bucharest, the capital of Romania
