Magheru-Republicii Urban Mobility Corridor, Phase 2 and the purchase of 10 electric buses

The overall objective of the project is to reduce carbon dioxide emissions in Oradea by creating a sustainable urban mobility corridor in the Magheru-Republic area through an integrated approach based on the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan of Oradea. The general objective was defined in order to comply with the investment priorities established by the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) approved by Decision No 521/29.06.2023 of the Oradea Local Council. Through SUMPs, the municipality aims to achieve an efficient, integrated, sustainable and safe transport system, environmentally friendly, which promotes economic, social and territorial development and ensures a good quality of life in the Oradea area. This objective involves reducing carbon emissions by increasing the attractiveness and use of public transport, i.e. by offering transport alternatives and discouraging commuting.
