Restoration of degraded riparian and flowing water ecosystems on the Ialomita watercourse, downstream sector confluence Glod – upstream accumulation Pucioasa and tributary Ialomicioara downstream confluence Frumuşel Valley

The overall objective of the project is to recover the integrity of the ecosystem and ensure the long-term sustainability potential of the Ialomita River and its alfuent, the Ialomicioara River, on the courses that cross Dâmboviţa County. As a result of the implementation of the project, the national area of degraded ecosystems is reduced by approximately 0.04%, respectively by 206.3 km2 (20.63 ha). The overall objective of the project is in accordance with the objectives set at Community level in the field of water, by Directive 2000/60/EC establishing a framework for Community action in the field of water policy (as subsequently amended and supplemented), the Directive transposed into national law by Law No 107/1996 - Water Law (as subsequently amended and supplemented). In accordance with Article 2(1) of Law No 107/1996, one of the environmental objectives for surface water bodies is to protect and improve their quality in order to achieve good status,
