The aim of the project is to continue the local strategy for the development of the water and wastewater sector, in order to meet the obligations assumed in the environmental sector, namely compliance with the requirements of the European directives on drinking water (Directive 98/83/EC and Directive 2020/2184) and wastewater treatment (Directive 91/271/EEC). Overall objective of the project: improving the water and wastewater infrastructure in Bistrita-Năsăud County by extending the service of drinking water supply, controlled microbiologically, under the conditions of safety and protection of health in localities with more than 50 inhabitants and ensuring the collection and treatment of wastewater for agglomerations larger than 2,000 p.e.
