Investments in education are the key to sustainable progress for society.Their size is influenced by the socio-ec. context, by education or training systems and their ability to adapt to change and technological progress aiming at alleviating imbalances in the labor market.The human capital ready to adapt is an essential condition for the current challenges to be transformed into opportunities for improving the quality of life or for sustainable economic development.The labor market in Romania is characterized by a significant shortage of skilled labor force, in the context of the sharp demographic decline, the increase of temporary or permanent external migration, the lack of interest in supporting and promoting the baccalaureate exam and for the continuation of studies, as well as the abandonment of studies by students.
