Route A1, Arad - Timisoara - DN69 - Phase II

The general objective of the project ‘Road connecting the Arad – Timisoara – DN 69 motorway’ was to connect the A1 motorway with the city of Timisoara and other related national and county roads, with a view to unloading road traffic from the Arad – Timisoara motorway, with the aim of increasing mobility in the road infrastructure of the TEN-T network, which will contribute to promoting economic competitiveness and improving conditions in the transport of goods and passengers by road and reducing pollutant emissions by removing/reducing traffic bottlenecks by reducing transport times. By reducing bottlenecks and ensuring an improved journey time on the TEN-T Central network, the project contributes to the overall objective Improving primary road connectivity - investment projects located on the TEN-T Central and TEN-T Global networks (including phased and supporting projects), RSO3.1_Developing a climate-resilient TEN-T network
