The project ‘Improvement of the air quality assessment and monitoring system at national level – Phase II’, MySMIS code 2021+ 323103, funded by the Sustainable Development Programme (SDP) 2021-2027, responds to the SDP objective – Priority 2 – SSR 2.7. “Intensify actions to protect and conserve nature, biodiversity and green infrastructure, including in urban areas, and reduce all forms of pollution”. The general objective is to increase the level of assessment and monitoring of air quality at national level and aims to support the authorities responsible for carrying out an efficient assessment and management of air quality and to ensure a good information of the public on ambient air quality, with direct effects on increasing the quality of life. At the same time, compliance with the requirements of the sector directives is also achieved. The project represents the need to continue and complete the investments initiated by the project
