Overall objective of the project: consisted in the further development of the water and wastewater infrastructure in Caraş-Severin County, by increasing the collection and treatment of urban wastewater, as well as the provision of drinking water supply to the population, in order to meet the requirements of the European Union’s environmental acquis and the commitments undertaken through the environmental sector, in the context of Priority Axis 1 – Development of water and wastewater infrastructure and transition to a circular economy, Specific Objective RSO2.5 Promoting access to water and sustainable water management under the 2021-2027 Sustainable Development Programme. The investments included in this project continue to modernize the water and wastewater infrastructure in Caras Severin County started in 2007 and propose new investments for water supply and sewerage in both urban and rural areas.
