Given that limiting the spread of the virus, as well as its extremely serious effects on the Romanian population, involves equipping hospitals with medical equipment, in the context of strengthening medical infrastructure to face the challenges posed by the COVID-19 outbreak, the state of physical and moral wear and tear and the overload caused by the large number of patients in the medical gas and electricity networks create a major risk to the life and health of patients admitted to hospitals. Thus, in support of a coherent approach to the resulting public health crisis, in order to prevent the blocking of the available medical infrastructure and, implicitly, the impairment of the right to health for patients requiring admission, it is necessary to assess, extend, rehabilitate or upgrade the infrastructure of electrical, medical fluid and ventilation and air treatment facilities, as well as the installation of detection systems.
