The objective of the project "Reducing carbon emissions in Sfântu Gheorghe through investments based on the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan" is to develop a modern and efficient public transport system, through the development of infrastructure and facilities for public transport, the implementation/modernization of a computerized management system, the construction of a depot for public transport vehicles, the creation/modernization/extension of a coherent network of cycle paths/paths, but also through the creation/modernization of comfortable pedestrian paths/paths. This ensured the most favourable conditions for achieving a sustainable transfer of part of the modal share of private car use to public transport, cycling and walking.
