Expanding medical response capacity in case of epidemics, pandemics and multi-victim events - Stage II

The overall objective of the project is to increase the emergency response capacity by providing mobile medical diagnostic, treatment and intensive care facilities to prevent and combat the effects of epidemics, pandemics and other associated diseases, such as endemic seasonal respiratory infections, infectious enterocolitis, acute radiation, chemical poisoning or pathologies associated with the risk of chemical, radiological or nuclear accidents, which require immediate intervention for multiple victim cases in less developed regions, where hospital settings are not sufficient. Given the dynamics of the epidemiological spread of highly contagious viruses (e.g. COVID-19) that generate a rapid increase in the number of infections and as such, the need for a rapid response of the emergency system in order to avoid the collapse of the entire national health system, especially at the level of less developed regions
