The overall objective of the project is to promote sustainable urban mobility by implementing an intelligent traffic management and monitoring system, based on innovative solutions to streamline and reduce pollution in Focsani. The main objectives will be to improve the efficiency of public passenger transport, its frequency and journey times, its accessibility, the transfer to it from private car transport, as well as the transfer to non-motorized modes of transport. It will also aim to make the use of cars a less attractive option in terms of economy and journey times than the use of public transport/non-motorised modes, thus creating the conditions for reducing the number of cars and reducing CO2-equivalent emissions.
