Ensuring an efficient public passenger transport service and improving the conditions for the use of non-motorised modes of transport, with a view to reducing the number of journeys by private transport (cars) and reducing CO2 equivalent emissions from transport. Thus, Giurgiu aims to develop urban mobility by changing the focus from a mobility based on the use of cars to a mobility based on walking, the use of bicycle as a means of travel, the use of high-quality and efficient public transport, reducing the use of cars in parallel with the use of clean car categories. The project meets the specific objective 4.1 of investment priority 4e of ROP 2014-2020 and the specific objective 2.8 of ROP MS 2021-2027, by implementing strategic measures, based on data from the Giurgiu Municipality Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan.
