The project aims at sustainable urban development by promoting low-carbon strategies, promoting sustainable multimodal urban mobility and mitigation-relevant adaptation measures and aims at reducing CO2 emissions from road transport and changing the option of using cars in favour of the use of non-motorised modes of transport and public transport, thus shifting the focus from mobility based mainly on the use of cars to mobility based on walking, the use of bicycle as a means of travel, which will lead to the reduction of CO2 equivalent emissions and other greenhouse gases (GHG) from motorised road transport in Călărași municipality. Overall objective of the project: Reducing carbon emissions in Calarasi by modernizing the infrastructure of the roads for running local public transport, an investment based on
